VIC: Man dies when car hits tree near Daylesford

MELBOURNE, April 16 AAP - A 59-year-old man died when his car ran off a road and hit a tree
near Daylesford, in Victoria's north-west this evening.

A police spokeswoman said his death at about 6.45pm on the Trentham-Daylesford Road, 2.5 km
east of Daylesford was the second on Victorian roads this evening.

Fifteen minutes earlier a 29-year-old man from Mornington died in a two-car collision at
Moorooduc, on the Mornington peninsula.

That accident was at the intersection of the Moorooduc Highway and Two Bays Road.

The deaths took the state's road toll to 110, up from 107 at the same time last year.
