Vic: Motorcyclist dead in collision
MELBOURNE, Dec 20 AAP - A motorcyclist has died in a collision near Mildura in Victoria's
far northwest.
The man had been riding in Merbein, near Mildura, when his bike collided with a car
about 3.30pm (AEDT) on Sunday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene along Old Wentworth Road.
The female driver of the car was trapped inside her vehicle for a short period but
did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
The man's name and age have not been released.
The fatal collision brings the state's Christmas road toll to three and the 2009 toll to 280.
